MEET THE CULINARIAN

Chris S. Hackett

It's all about the Dish... But, wait until you meet my Spoon!

Cooking is an art! I have been an artist for over 10 years in the Washington, D.C. area.  I remember my first time in the kitchen and my grandfather saying, “Who brought these paper plates?” At the time I didn’t get it, but as I matured as a chef I understood what he was saying and now I eat off the same plate everyday!  Some may not understand but dinner in my grandparents’ house was serious business.  We ate off dishes and sat at a formal place setting every night.  This caused me to pay attention not only to the food I prepare but also to the way it is served.

Cooking can be called fashion for the soul.  The kitchen is my office, no papers and files swarming everywhere but pots and pans banging together to create delicious meals.   My fun-loving and upbeat attitude, love for food and attention to details has lead to the creation of “The Spoon”.  The Spoon likes to get people to dish about kitchen secrets and favorite recipes.  My dream is to take this character to television so I can "Spoon and Dish" nationwide.

Indulge Catering is a family business that puts a special twist on traditional cuisine.  I have put together a menu that represents my passion for the culinary arts.  I strive to provide great service, vibrant flavors and unforgettable food.  So don’t be shy the next time you see The Spoon, come on over and "Let’s Dish"!
